prepare your body scrub at home

It happens many times with all of us that we attach great importance to the cleansing regime of our face and forget the body. In fact, it is important to make the body get rid off dead skin and jaded skin. This can be done by scrubs. Exfoliate your skin once a week if your skin is oily. For dry skin scrubbing twice a month is sufficient.


Here are 4 types of scrubs can be easily made at home.

Gram flour(besan) scrub: Take half cup gram flour powder,also known as chickpea powder. Add half teaspoon of turmeric powder, one teaspoon rosewater(gulabjal) and enough milk to make a thick paste. Rub this paste all over the body with firm circular motions. If it dries, take some more paste. Then bath normally. This is an very effective and ideal paste for oily skin. Gram flour absorbs excess oil and milk nourishes the skin.

Orange peel scrub: A wonderful scrub for dry skin. Take four tablespoon dried powder of orange peel. Add two teaspoon of honey and enough milk to make a smooth paste. Rub this paste all over the body using rough circular motion. This will help to exfoliate dead skin. This scrub leaves the skin soft and clean.

Tomato scrub: Soak half a cup of rice for an hour and then grind them to make a thick paste. Now, make a puree of four medium sized tomatoes. Add the rice paste to pureed tomatoes. Apply all over the body starting from the neck downwards, to the arms, torso and legs. Let it stand for about 20 minutes. Wash with warm water. A very effective scrub for oily skin.

Oatmeal scrub: Take half cup of powdered oat. Add half liter of beaten curd to it and make a thick paste. Mix well and refrigerate for two hours. Apply it all over the body. Let it stand for 20 minutes. wash off with warm water. This scrubs not only cleans the skin but also reduces pores.
