avoid mosquitoes ..... so that we can stop Malaria too !

Mosquitoes, one of nature's nastiest pests, seem to be the subject of as much fiction as fact. Sometimes the bites of these nasty pests leads to harmful disease called "Malaria". Here, without bothering with old wives' tales and urban legends, are some methods of keeping the pesky mosquitoes off of your hide when venturing outdoors, compiled from various sources and the experience of years.

Follow these simple steps and make hungry insects go elsewhere :

1.Drain all water-holding outdoor containers around the home. Inspect basements and crawl spaces. If they are flooded, drain as quickly as possible

2.Wear light coloured clothes . Mosquitoes are attracted by darker colours.

3. Garlic is used in many mosquito repellants used in landscaping. If you eat a large amount of garlic then it actually seeps out through the pores of your skin. Some people think that this invisible layer of garlic oil might create a natural barrier cream. Any mosquitoes which do find you will think twice before taking a bite.

If you find difficult of eating Garlic , roughly smash the garlic cloves and place them at all the corners of the room. The strong odor from Garlic cloves acts as a repellant for mosquitoes.

4. Mouthwash diluted with water and spritzed on the skin, this rid of us mosquitoes for a full night. Sadly, it just made us smell minty fresh.

5. Fabric Softener Sheets rubbed onto the skin, this method did leave us mosquito bite-free for the evening. But, it did irritate the skin of one of our testers. So, use caution.

6. A few squirts of Dish soap, left in a saucer, did a nice job of keeping mosquitoes occupied...and away from us.

7.Lemon grass oil a good repellant to avoid mosquitoes . Gently spread some oil on your skin. It acts as a protective layer  keeping mosquitoes away from us.
